/ on Changing Roles

The other day, while chatting with a colleague, she revealed to me her intentions of quitting a team and joining another. She was extremely happy that internal mobility was an option but, was a little upset leaving ends un-tied. It had been frustrating the past few months and nothing seemed to work. The last quarter was not a great one!

We began discussing and realized that theres nothing to feel ashamed off when changing jobs. Leaving a known-known situation to enter a known-unknown situation is an act of leadership. It’s you pushing yourself from a state of comfort to discomfort.

Changing jobs is an act of leadership. You’re leading your career forward.
